I have a question for you. I ran into the same problem as you described here:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12412858/register-com-component-for-classic-asp
How did you get ASP to find and create the server object?
Did you end up using ASPIMAGE?
Thanks,

I ended up using AspNetImage as a replacement. If you have trouble installing that as well, make sure that you follow the correct steps if you have a 64 bit machine. If you need to get image dimensions, you can use ASP’s LoadPicture().
